Join Luke Westaway and Andy Farrant as they talk about cinema's greatest achievement: Disney Channel Original Movies. From X-TREME rollerblading, to Mermen, to homicidal smart homes, there's something for everyone in these brilliant, baffling films. Also, usually the mom character in the film is unable to cook, and this is considered richly comic. Hence the name.

Your one stop podcast for DCOM weirdness, the musical stylings of Phil Marshall, deep dives into what constitutes soup, AND dead horse removal. I unfailingly find myself cackling with laughter with every new episode.
This podcast has taught us about important things like Santa’s weather machine, and in turn we have taught them about things like mascots. It’s a beautiful full circle. No regrets, 5 stars.
Always so much fun!
I recently completed my first marathon (not even a humble brag, I am pretty proud of myself) but it wasn’t any marathon, it was THE marathon.
I along with thousands of others runners started not far from the battlefield, ran past the 2500 year old grave mound, then retrod the route taken by Pheidippides himself into one of the European cities most soaked in history, and finished the race in the Panathenaic Stadium which is itself over 2000 years old. The country I was in gave us Homer, Socrate... more
I’m pretty sure I actually enjoy like… 4 DCOMs as proper movies. However, this podcast has convinced me that what I really love is low-budget projects which take massive creative swings with what seems to be a tenuous regard to what their target audience’s likes or understandings.
I used to be able to listen to intellectually stimulating podcasts on a variety of topics. Now whenever I try to settle down to one I find myself thinking, “why am I listening to this, when I could be listening to two full adult men doing (dad-shattering) dunks on decades old children’s media?” and unable to find the answer, I re-listen to Mom Can’t Cook. No regrets. Five stars.
