Join Luke Westaway and Andy Farrant as they talk about cinema's greatest achievement: Disney Channel Original Movies. From X-TREME rollerblading, to Mermen, to homicidal smart homes, there's something for everyone in these brilliant, baffling films. Also, usually the mom character in the film is unable to cook, and this is considered richly comic. Hence the name.

Remember Encino Man? The 1992 comedy movie about a caveman who gets thawed out and must adjust to life in the 20th century? Well, our advice would be to cling to that relatively positive memory like your life depended on it, because the straight-to-T... more
Zoe's only just started at her new high school, but already she finds her existence beset by boys. Stinking, rude, unfocused, noisy, stinking boys. Did we mention they stink? Luckily, through a series of electrical mishaps, an app on Zoe's phone beco... more
Andy deploys his 2026 wildcard (which is a movie we'll recap even if it's not a kids movie, TV movie or both), to devastating effect with Congo (1995), a jaw-droppingly stupid adaptation of Michael Crichton's novel that dares to ask the question: Wha... more
Like any 13-year-old, Kenny Witkowski is more interested in playing Mortal Karnage than he is with engaging in politics. But that all changes when it turns out an anonymous stranger he meets in a chatroom is none other than the President of the Unite... more

While Mom Can’t Cook, A DCOM Podcast is the thing I look forward to every single week, I can also attest to the fact that it has, in fact, ruined my life. It’s basically the “having a fake girlfriend in Canada” trope, but with grown-up friends. I constantly quote Andy and Luke to people, and when I try to explain the context for my quotes, it looks like I’ve fabricated two hilarious British men to be my imaginary friends. Everyone just sort of exchanges knowing smiles and sad nods. I’ve also tak... more
Hell yeas
I have run out of ways to tell everyone I know that they simply must listen to two British guys recapping middling-to-terrible Disney Channel Original Movies. Reader, how can I explain that they are missing out on the funniest audio content available on this green Earth?
I’m convinced they randomly change the names of one of the characters every episode, when they’re wrapping up the episode there’s always someone that I’m sure they’ve never mentioned before.
I wasn’t a massive DCOM fan, but Andy and Luke have been able to craft such hilarious descriptions and critiques of these once loved but offft they have not aged well movies. Not only is it great entertainment, it’s also educational, and was the sole reason many a times I’ve helped my team win trivia! And you too can* earn a free drink and chocolate, simply by listening to some of these awesome podcasts!

Two longtime hosts riff on Disney Channel Original Movies with sharp banter, nostalgia for childhood favorites, and playful, occasionally absurd deep dives. Episodes blend humorous critique of film plots, production quirks, and cultural references with light sponsorship reads and rapid-fire pop-culture riffs, making it a breezy, joke-driven listen for fans of retro cinema and meme-worthy moments. The show tends to skew toward entertaining, character-driven commentary and a community of listeners who enjoy humor, nostalgia, and discussions about how these often-cheesy films age today.
