I made it exactly 12 minutes and 25 seconds into this podcast. Given the title it sounded interesting, after listening for less than 15 minutes, the constant negativity was just too much to take. It seems like the hosts of this show want to vent all their grievances rather provide meaningful content.
Pretty sure all these folks do is whine, and complain about all things OCR. There’s a clear favoritism towards one brand. They aren’t legitimate athletes so take what they say with a grain of salt. They’re social media influencers that think because the same 45 people share, like and hype their posts; they’re important. Just taking a look at any of their Athlinks of Stravas, you can head over to Running Public for a better listen from more qualified people.
I’ve tried to give this podcast the benefit of the doubt. I love OCR and I love seeing more OCR related content being put out, especially by people really into the community. But so far this podcast is nothing but toxic conversations and negativity framed as 'trying to improve the sport'. Every episode is constant bashing, at a high school level of shade and cattiness. I was hoping this podcast would really try to appeal to the average AG racer or wannabe AG racer, but all it appeals to is those... more
As a supporter of all things OCR, this podcast intrigued me as the hosts seem to be at my level of racing. But after just a few episodes, I realized the hosts are very negative when it comes to the sport. The latest episode I listened to about brand ambassadorships had them tearing into people who get selected by brands to be a brand ambassador, yet, they themselves have 20+ products they are ambassadors for. They act like they are loyal to the brands they support, but the list of products ke... more
I may be biased since I am friends with one of the hosts, but that said I still cannot say enough good things about this podcast. While only in the beginning stages, these hosts have chosen to tackle the topics that are front and center for the average OCR athlete.
While there are plenty of pro athletes out there, most of the time in my short time in the sport I have always felt that they don’t speak my language as a weekend warrior. It is refreshing to see them reach out on social media to get... more
