I loved it when she said “plant densely to keep the carbon in the ground”. That’s going to be my excuse now when I’m asked where are my “naughty spends” are going to go!
I think this is one of my favourite episodes of the Mike the Gardener podcast. There’s such a strong connection between Mike and his guest who have so much in common, the conversation flows. TJ speaks so eloquently about his life as an artist and gardener, his strong belief that we should show respect for and care of the creatures who share our space and about how the difficulties he faced as a young man have shaped him. I’m looking forward to reading his new book, Grounded in the Garden, to lea... more
Mike has a real enthusiasm for gardening, and this podcast has something useful to share about all aspects of the garden. Love it!

I will definitely take away Nigel’s wise advice, ‘To fail to prepare is to prepare to fail.’ We gardeners always work towards the next season optimistically. I’m already looking forward to your next season of podcasts but in the meantime will enjoy your ... more
