Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Side Sessions: Tommy Hutton
Q: What do you remember about the moment you were brought back into the Marlins booth after your hiatus?
The return came through connections with Fox and Bally's TV productions, and it was about offering veteran presence to replace a departing colleague while staying true to my broadcasting approach. It felt natural to rejoin the booth and continue engaging with fans through pre- and post-game coverage.
Marlins Fan Fest 2026 - Clayton McCullough, Xavier Edwards, Janson Junk and Joe Mack
Q: What are your thoughts about the challenge system?
I think for the players, look, they're going to have some say now in a little portion of something they never did before.
Marlins Fan Fest 2026 - Clayton McCullough, Xavier Edwards, Janson Junk and Joe Mack
Q: How does the WBC change your management strategy?
Selfishly love to have them in camp the entire time, right? But also appreciating how big of an event this is globally for not only our sport and what that means for the individuals that are going to go play.
Marlins Fan Fest 2026 - Clayton McCullough, Xavier Edwards, Janson Junk and Joe Mack
Q: What do you think about the urgency going into this year?
I think it just starts from day one, honestly. A lot of the messaging last year was just like that teams weren't going to respect us. And I feel like they didn't at the first half of the year.
Side Sessions: Pitchers and Catchers Report + Clayton McCullough Speaks
Q: Is everyone that's supposed to be here today here?
Clayton confirmed that everyone except for Fochette, who will arrive over the weekend, is present.
