I have been so blessed and challenged by this podcast the last seven months.

The podcast has helped motivate me to make sure my family becomes active members of our church. I am an Athletic Director and Football Coach blessed with daily opportunities to glorify Christ in my place of work at a Classical Christian school.

My family and I just chose to sponsor a young man in Kenya with the same birthday as my five year old son.

My son is excited. I wanted to make sure I did it right and was c... more

  • Doesn’t know history

Literally just listened to him say something from Christianity was introduced when Jesus died, as if the more than a millennia of Judaism before that or what the “Old Testament” actually is magically came to be then. Can’t take anything else seriously after that.

  • Re-ignition of my spiritual life.

The strong and applicable messages have helped reignite my walk with the lord in the last year. I recently found out I am going to be the father of a girl, and I am so glad that I found dialed in last year so I can be a MAN of God for my wife and daughter.

P.S. Jim, I decided to sponsor a compassion child because of the last episode. I didn’t know there was a link through you, and I wanted you to add me to the total number of children sponsored. We picked a young girl who has the same birthday... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

You're Disciplined, Committed, and Still Missing Your Purpose…Here's Why – Average Joe Conversation w/ Chris Robinson EP 1001
Q: How do we listen to the Holy Spirit better?
By seeking Him with all of our heart, spending time in prayer and Scripture, and learning to listen more than we speak, even in everyday moments like driving or quiet reflection.
Hey Beginner Husband and Wife: Avoid Mistakes That Could Cost You Years of Happiness w/ Michelle Lentz EP 997
Q: How can men handle tough conversations without triggering defensiveness and accusations?
Approach with curiosity, ask what the wife needs from you in the moment, listen more than you speak, and frame discussions around shared goals for the relationship rather than blaming; keep mission: “I want the best for us.”
Hey Beginner Husband and Wife: Avoid Mistakes That Could Cost You Years of Happiness w/ Michelle Lentz EP 997
Q: What would you tell young husbands about building a strong marriage, given your focus on the female perspective?
Understand that women often aren't wired the same as men; show consistent respect, learn your wife's love language, and invest in small, meaningful acts that affirm and support her—like thoughtful time, small gifts, and gentle communication.
Hey Beginner Husband and Wife: Avoid Mistakes That Could Cost You Years of Happiness w/ Michelle Lentz EP 997
Q: I understand that you also have a book called Hey Beginner Wife. Can you tell me about why you came up with that name?
The term came from recognizing that many women feel like beginners in marriage and deserve grace as they learn their roles; it's about encouraging both partners to grow together and to extend grace as they develop their cadence and understanding.
Guardrail #10: Build a Wall - Ten Boundaries for an Unbreakable Marriage EP 991
Q: What does it mean to preside over and fortify the walls around those under your care?
It means actively protecting and guiding both family and employees, listening with discernment, and making sure each person has the support and environment to grow, succeed, and stay connected to God. It's about daily, deliberate leadership that builds trust and security.
