  • Political more than spiritual

I used to listen to Kyle a lot but lately realized he has become more of a political commentator rather than a Christian ministry. I pray he realizes this.

I love this podcast. Even when I hear something I don’t agree with. You said on this podcast something about the Nazarene church that I have never heard of. That Nazarenes teach you need to be baptized again after sinning. I went to college at a Nazarene college and never heard anything like that. I grew up in that church, never heard that before. So, I do t know where that came from but it isn’t doctrine in the Nazarene church!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

MATT CHANDLER | Becoming Like Jesus (Ep. 910)
Q: Why did you decide to write Becoming Like Jesus now?
Chandler explains that decades of pastoral observation and seeing the fruit of people's lives over 25 years motivated him to address sanctification honestly, acknowledging hardship and the need for ongoing formation in community.
AMA: Death Penalty, Catholic Schools, Once Saved Always Saved, & More (Ep. 908)
Q: Any advice as I'm about to have my first kid?
Focus on protecting and providing for the mother and child, prioritize spiritual nourishment, establish gospel rhythms in the home, and lead the family with biblical guidance, recognizing the long-term influence of parenting.
AMA: Death Penalty, Catholic Schools, Once Saved Always Saved, & More (Ep. 908)
Q: How do you rate the big three lifts in weightlifting and does weight lifting affect your jiu-jitsu training?
Weight lifting is essential and generally enhances jiu-jitsu; proper form is crucial to prevent injuries, and resilience from lifting supports performance in grappling.
AMA: Death Penalty, Catholic Schools, Once Saved Always Saved, & More (Ep. 908)
Q: Should Christian parents allow their children to attend Catholic schools?
The host favors Catholic schools over public ones in many cases for faith formation, while noting theological differences and potential issues, and suggesting discussions on Catholic doctrine when considering such schools.
AMA: Death Penalty, Catholic Schools, Once Saved Always Saved, & More (Ep. 908)
Q: Can you be both pro life and also pro death penalty?
Yes, you can be for protecting innocent life overall while also accepting the death penalty for premeditated murder, because the two situations involve different categories of life and consequences, and biblical justification is drawn from passages that support capital punishment for deliberate homicide.
