  • Political more than spiritual

I used to listen to Kyle a lot but lately realized he has become more of a political commentator rather than a Christian ministry. I pray he realizes this.

I love this podcast. Even when I hear something I don’t agree with. You said on this podcast something about the Nazarene church that I have never heard of. That Nazarenes teach you need to be baptized again after sinning. I went to college at a Nazarene college and never heard anything like that. I grew up in that church, never heard that before. So, I do t know where that came from but it isn’t doctrine in the Nazarene church!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Ask a Pastor with JOBY MARTIN | June 2026 (Ep. 925)
Q: What is Joby's take on evangelism in diverse contexts and the role of the church in reaching people who aren't currently engaged?
Joby suggests that the gospel should shape church life and outreach in a way that respects cultural context while remaining rooted in Scripture, emphasizing that diversity should flow from genuine discipleship and not strategic quotas. The church should be rooted in the Word and focused on gospel-centered transformation rather than performative diversity goals.
AARON GRAHAM | How to Stand Firm in a Culture of Lies (Ep. 917)
Q: Why did you write this book at this moment?
The author wanted to articulate a clear, biblically rooted vision for resisting culture-driven distortions of faith, promoting true worship, and equipping believers to discern modern ideologies with conviction and compassion.
DOMINION | Ben Buben
Q: Where are you located? What do you do for a living, and how old are you?
Ben lives in Jacksonville, Florida and works for Lithia Automotive, running operations in Paramus, New Jersey; he mentions his upcoming 56th birthday.
JACK CARR | The Fourth Option (Ep. 916)
Q: How do you balance the aging and evolution of a lead character across a long-running series while keeping it fresh for readers?
I want the character to evolve slowly, aging gradually so readers can grow with him; I avoid stale repetition by letting each book push the development forward, drawing from real-life experiences and keeping the emotional core authentic to what readers expect from the universe.
JACK CARR | The Fourth Option (Ep. 916)
Q: Why did you choose a Stranger Comes to Town, Western-inspired backdrop for The Fourth Option, and how does that contrast with the more geopolitical feel of The Terminal List?
The Fourth Option is intentionally set up as a different backdrop with a distinct city, using a Western narrative lens to bring the vigilante justice theme into a new setting. It differentiates Chris Walker from James Reece while keeping authenticity grounded in military experience, and it broadens the universe by exploring new genre textures within the same overarching world.
