  • Politics

I have never reviewed anything but reading through these reviews I feel the need to discuss the debate between whether politics

should be blight until the show or help out. The show of MASH is inherently political and therefore, shouldn’t any podcast discussing it echo that reality? The messages that MASH portrays is exactly what these people in the podcast portray which I respect. If you don’t like politics in your entertainment, then why do you love MASH so much that that you are listening to... more

  • So far so good

I’ve listened to the first 3 seasons. Rob clearly loves the show. As a former military man, I wish he knew more but he admits his shortcomings and I appreciate that. I appreciate also that he keeps the “Fire and Water” stuff brief and even though many guests are part of the network, they don’t over do it. I hate podcasts that just BS and it takes forever to get to the meat and potatoes. This isn’t the case here. Sometimes there are political hints thrown in but it’s small and so far has t dwelle... more

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

M*A*S*HCast 181 - Dear Uncle Abdul
Q: Why is the Footlocker sequence considered central to the episode's impact, and how does it affect Margaret's arc?
The Footlocker sequence acts as a culmination of the episode's tension between comedy and consequences, showing Margaret's take-no-nonsense persona clash with the chaos of the infirmary and the war's absurdities, which deepens the emotional payoff and reinforces the show's theme of humor as coping.
M*A*S*HCast 179 - The Yalu Brick Road
Q: What's your MASH origin story?
Thom describes growing up initially disliking the show, then gradually getting hooked through watching with family and friends, eventually becoming a devoted fan who encourages others to watch.
M*A*S*HCast 174 - Goodbye Radar Part 2
Q: Why was this particular episode chosen, and what makes it stand out?
The host notes that Goodbye Radar Part 2 is a pivotal, emotionally intense farewell episode that expands upon a core theme in MASH: impermanence and the difficulty of saying goodbye. The guest adds that the episode deepens the show's contemplation of character arcs and showcases standout performances and production choices, making it a memorable milestone in the series.
M*A*S*HCast 164 - C*A*V*E
Q: How did you become a fan of M*A*S*H?
Rose discusses her family's love for the show and her journey through different fandoms, leading her back to M*A*S*H.
M*A*S*HCast 156 - Out of Gas
Q: Why did you want to talk about Out of Gas?
I chose it because I love Father Mulcahy and feel he has been underutilized on the show, making this a good chance to celebrate his role.
