Literally my favorite podcast to study Chinese as a lower intermediate level. Topics are interesting, speed is at a great pace and the website is great. In the future, I hope they can add comprehension questions to test your reading and listening skills. Best podcast ever!!!!
Maomi chinese is maybe the best listening tool I’ve found so far, especially for an intermediate speaker. Selection of interesting topics helps prepare listeners for real-life, rather than creating a school-like environment. And there is a really good balance of the difficulty level: the slightly slow and clear pronunciation helps intermediate listeners, whereas the lack of over-explaining and the inclusion of passages from real-life chinese speakers makes it more useful for advanced speakers. … for intermediate / advanced learners of Chinese, esp. in combination with the well-designed website.
A lot of thought goes into each episode - the subjects are culturally very interesting and carefully presented in very clear speech. You can feel the background as a teacher.
I have listened to every episode a couple of times and am currently relistening. Thank you very much - a true labour of love.
Mao Mi Chinese has great content which is super for the students of Chinese. I am around HSK-4 level and I usually listen first, catching a lot of the meaning, and then look on the website and read the Chinese transcript so that I can learn the new words and grammar. Then I listen again to make sure that I am getting it.
This can really help improve listening skills!
Thanks!
Your soothing voice, the interesting topics you choose and the engaging, entertaining and knowledgeable contents make it a pleasure to listen to your podcast. I also love the intro music , btw ;)
