I came for Severance several(?) years ago…and stayed for Black Rabbit, PLURIBUS and Fallout. Always happy to find these old friends covering shows I’m watching!
Mangum Talks is my favourite podcast to listen to for an episode by episode analysis of some of the best TV shows of recent years. I like it precisely because it’s not typically ‘podcasty’ - yes there’s some in depth analysis, yes they really care about what they’re watching, but there’s no pretension, no grandstanding or claims to critical supremacy. It honesty feels like you’re sitting around a table with a couple of friends chatting about that thing you just watched, and I love that.

At its best, this podcast is two good friends doing a deep dive (line by line!) of content you enjoy. Their analysis helps you get more out of the show, helping you appreciate it even more.

If you rewatch the initial seduction it was Zosia that made the first move. Carol was so desperate for human contact she couldn’t resist. The Hive planned it all. It’s an alien AI that’s taken over almost all humans and desperately wants to finish the job.

Two-host TV analysis show that dives deep into episode-by-episode breakdowns of popular and anthology series, with a penchant for long-form discussions, character motivations, and production minutiae. Recurring strengths include thorough scene-by-scene deconstructions, attention to book or source material context, and a strong back-and-forth chemistry that keeps conversations engaging even at longer runtimes. While the focus spans a wide range of shows, the hosts consistently emphasize narrative structure, pacing, and thematic resonance, and listeners often praise the approachable, conversational vibe. A notable trait is the willingness to critique pronunciation and pacing while maintaining a passion for discovery and lore—making it appeali... more
