This is exactly what I have been looking for! I am Chinese and speak Cantonese. My parents wanted me to learn Mandarin as a child but like all children, I was pugnacious so did not. I regret not learning Mandarin when I had the chance but it is never too late. This podcast is amazing and so helpful. I do the weekly lessons until I master the lesson and vocabulary before moving on. Make sure to do the bonus homework lessons as well. Please keep this podcast going and let us know how to support.
I haven’t found any other podcast quite like this one. Isaac’s language learning wisdom makes so much sense, and I learn so much from the dialogues. I can’t recommend it enough if you want to have a blast learning mandarin.
Listening to this pod cast has really helped my Mandarin improve and helped me hold practical day to day conversations in China.
I also really appreciate the insights provided regarding learning languages in general as an adult.
This podcast is well done. The author engages with his listeners. His encouragement has helped me to continue to learn Mandarin, when I feel discouraged, I am reminded by what he says "It's a marathon and not a sprint."
Started learning Chinese from scratch with this podcast and my native Chinese speaking partner is impressed with my progress. The format is perfect for leaning a language. Highly recommend!
