作品不僅重現歷史氛圍，更探索「迫害者如何養成」的人性課題，漫畫採用象徵性色彩：暖色系代表力量，灰藍則象徵純粹情感；女性角色被補強，成為主角內心掙扎的觸發點。
此作亦映照出台灣漫畫現況，創作環境自由，卻因內需不足與文化差異，國際推廣困難，文學IP改編被視為突破口，能兼顧本土價值與國際能見度，但仍仰賴讀者支持與討論發酵。
