  • UPDATED: 6-7 is accurate

We’re all adults here, right? I think we can all agree that 6-7 is the most annoying thing that has ever been. You’re losing all credibility when you say you’re in “Section six seven”. It’s just about enough for me to discontinue following the pod. That’s literally the only thing keeping this from a 5-star review.

UPDATE: I (almost) regret this was not corrected sooner. I have continued (and will continue) to listen every day and I honestly forgot I even wrote that review until it was read verb... more

  • Great learning opportunity

Appreciate your consistency and producing five pods a week! I was a 15 year Jazz season ticket holder, but switched to the Mammoth last year and am now a die hard hockey fan, you guys have taught me a bunch about the game!

Not to be a downer, but my biggest disappointment this season has been how little impact Clayton Keller has on games, he is highly skilled, but if he played with the intensity of Michael Carcone, he would be much more valuable….I also don’t understand why Keller is the Captain... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Mar. 20, 2026: W Down The I-15, Anaheim Tonight, Tusky's Trading Card, Local Hockey Thriller
Q: What stood out most about the Mammoth's performance against Vegas?
The defense and goaltending were dominant, with Veggie delivering a shutout and the offense jumping on the Knights early, enabling a 4-0 victory and clinching the season series.
Mar. 18, 2026: Wild Card Circus, Michael Hrabal Joins, Road Stories
Q: Michael, what did it mean to be named Hockey East Goaltender of the Year, and how has your progression at UMass shaped that achievement?
Hrabal says the award is nice but prioritizes team success, noting early injuries and a midseason focus on training and Christmas prep as turning points that improved his game and confidence.
Mar. 19, 2026: Vegas Showdown, NHL Bracket Peeking, Expert: Dominic Moore, Mammoth Daily Bracket Challenge
Q: What is Dom Moore's perspective on practice and what fans might see in daily training?
Moore highlights that practice is where reads and reactions are honed, and that fans will notice how players communicate, compete, and refine fundamentals, not just the on-ice outcomes. He also notes the value of public morning skates for showcasing habits and the team's work ethic.
Mar. 10, 2026: 3-0-1 Trip Wraps In St. Paul, Tuesday Mailbag, Guenther On Tonight's Game
Q: What tends to drive the starting lineup decisions late in the season?
Coaches emphasize matchups and the goal of maximizing the team's winning chances, often altering lines and pairings to counter opponents rather than simply rotating the top players.
Mar. 12, 2026: Schmaltz Signs For 8, GM Bill Armstrong Joins, Back Home With Chicago
Q: Bill, congratulations on the eight-year extension and locking down a core player for Utah. What in your view made this deal the right move for the Mammoth at this moment?
The decision balanced long-term value for Schmaltz and immediate team needs. Schmaltz's ability to play multiple positions, his leadership, and his ongoing development—all while fitting within the team's cap structure—made it a smart move to secure continuity and sustain our playoff and championship trajectory.
