Give this show a listen. It's my favorite sci-fi podcast. The stories are always really interesting with great production. If you're into science fiction with a touch of realism you'll get hooked as well.
talented readers, providing/performing quality stories. I’ve been listening to podcasts for years and Makeshift was a great introduction. I went on to other podcasts and whilst some were good, they lacked the consistency and so the others didn’t quite compete.
Hence, Im back to Makeshift. On top of that, the lack of annoying adds interrupting the story, adds to listening pleasure.
This is truly a gem among podcast a true independent creation made with love and creativity. Listen to an episode and you'll be addicted waiting for the next drop, luckily there are many episodes for all to enjoy.

Aiz of speculative fiction storytelling with a recurring emphasis on near-future tech, ethics, and human stories. Episodes blend standalone and serialized tales, often centering on innovative technologies, AI, and societal implications, wrapped in accessible, character-driven narration. Notable is the consistently high production quality, variety of subgenres within sci-fi, and a family-friendly approach that still tackles provocative ideas. The show frequently features indie authors and a steady rotation of readers/narrators, which can be appealing for listeners who enjoy thoughtful, imaginative fiction and a well-produced audio experience.
