  • Alan is unbearable

Let me start by saying I’ve been listening for a while, a few years, and I love the topics. I love horror movies and history and Abby does an amazing job selecting, researching, and discussing great content. Each of the three stars go only to her. I’ve had to turn off s few episodes because Alan is literally unbearable. He does no preparation, has no background knowledge of any of the topics, comes in critical of Abby’s every word, then drops the “you’ve never heard of ____?!?!” And proceeds to ... more

  • You guys seem to not like any movies.

The last episode, you guys put on about demonic possession. It just seems like every single movie you disliked. In fact, the only movie you even gave a positive spin on was the one that your friends made. It gets a little frustrating, listening to this podcast because I really want to get the information, but I feel like all the Pokémon talk, and hating all horror movies, especially beloved classics like the exorcist Rosemary‘s baby and the witch kind of turns me off. I’ve noticed that lately. Y... more

Episode 149 - The Science Behind Alien Phenomena: Part 1
Q: What do you think is true about interdimensional beings?
If we only experience a limited reality, there may be other dimensions or realities we don't comprehend, possibly linked to the concept of God or non-human intelligence.
Episode 149 - The Science Behind Alien Phenomena: Part 1
Q: What's the belief behind the loss of time in UFO encounters?
This relates to special relativity, where how you experience time is based on your frame of reference and speed in relation to light.
Episode 149 - The Science Behind Alien Phenomena: Part 1
Q: How did you first get into UFOs?
I wasn't really into UFOs until 2017, when a New York Times article described a secret Pentagon program researching UFOs, which made me reconsider what I thought reality was.
Episode 147 - Campfire Tales #3
Q: Tell me why you think this story exhibits the history of horror.
The story exhibits existential dread and something that's super relatable to a lot of people, which is kind of like even in some ways more powerful and poignant, because it's very human for all of us to grow connections to things that are fading.
Episode 134 - Demons and "The Sacrifice Game" with Jenn Wexler and Sean Redlitz
Q: Did you do any research into demonic legend or mythology?
Jenn read about The Lesser Key of Solomon but created her own demon to avoid real-life implications, while also incorporating traits from real demons.
