Why are we running the wildcat at the goal line when we have Van Buren? Seems like he is athletic enough to run at the goal line but also a bigger threat to throw the ball than Ju’Juan Johnson or another RB. Also do you think he could have some QB run/option packages in game?

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Mailbag: Where would you rank LSU? | When do we panic about the offense?
Q: When is the appropriate time to press the panic button for the offense?
The panic button might make more sense at half time of the South Carolina game if the performance doesn't improve.
Mailbag: Where would you rank LSU? | When do we panic about the offense?
Q: What do you think the offense needs to improve at this point in the season?
Improving the run game and addressing any injuries, especially to Nussmeyer, is crucial for the Tigers' success.
Mailbag: What's next for LSU's offense? | Injury update on two starters
Q: Do you think we see a shake up on the offensive line this week?
While there's always a chance, it seems unlikely for a significant change to occur on the offensive line, although DJ Chester at Center may be a consideration due to performance issues, as continuity is crucial heading into a big game.
Mailbag: What's next for LSU's offense? | Injury update on two starters
Q: How will the offense compensate for the lack of Trades Green in the red zone?
Without Trades on the field, the offense needs to find creative ways to score since they lack his size and presence in the red zone, relying on Nussmeier's accuracy to make plays with the arm and hoping for successful schemes that utilize other talents.
MAILBAG: Early surprises from LSU's Week 1 win
Q: Were you surprised that LSU couldn't really hit anything deep with Hilton or Brown? Or was it Clemson taking that away?
Clemson wasn't going to get beat over the top, and LSU's game plan focused on short and intermediate routes.
