  • So good!

God. This podcast single handedly keeping me busy during my work hours and commute. I just listened to the paladins episode on Diablo IV. Has Joe managed to get the new expansion? I’d love to gift it to him

  • Thanks guys

Been listening for 3 years now and it’s been great! Unfortunately I have to give you 3 stars because I subscribed for Warcraft lore. Maybe I’m alone, but I couldn’t care less about comics, Warhammer or cyberpunk. Hopefully you re-evaluate what your core audience cares about.

  • Consistently entertaining and surprising

I’ve been listening to the podcast for about 8 years now and I must say it’s one of my favourite to tune into. Mr. Rossi and Mr. Perez have really hit their stride lately, though there are moments when I miss Ms. Stickneys viewpoint I must say lately the fellas have been on fire. For new listeners there is no better backlog library of blizzard games related lore. This podcast shines as one of the few bright examples of how to produce a game related lore podcast, the hosts not only recount what h... more

  • Nerd Alert!!!

This is like sitting around with your nerdiest friends and talking about Warcraft lore. I love it. None of my friends are really into lore so this is a great way to fill that gap. Find a topic of interest in the backlogs or be like me, start at the first and work through all of them. Their knowledge isn’t perfect but it’s great for us lore nerds. Thank you for doing this.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Anima, Mana, and the forces of Azeroth
Q: Is there a direct or any connection between Mana and Anima, and what does that mean for Mana potions and related interactions?
The hosts agree there's no concrete, explicit link officially stated, but there's a strong debated resonance: Mana is the raw energy used to cast spells, while Anima is life-energy produced by living beings. Mana can be seen as a base fuel and Anima as a produced, refined form that blends with life experiences; potions that restore Mana can be framed as tapping into those raw sources, while Anima is the product of life itself and is harvested in the Shadowlands. The discussion emphasizes the potential interconnectedness without a canonical, direct equivalence.
The Midnight Elf-O-Rama
Q: Is Silvermoon likely to become the capital of all elves now?
The panel debates that while Silvermoon could serve as a major hub or neutral ground, it is unlikely to be the sole capital due to historical fragility of single-city capitals and the need for multiple fallbacks like Belameth and Suramar.
Who was the High Elf Xal'atath is piloting, and more weird body questions
Q: Is Azeroth a troll?
No, the consensus is that Azeroth is not a troll, although it has been shaped by various creatures including trolls and other races.
Who was the High Elf Xal'atath is piloting, and more weird body questions
Q: What do we know about the player that Xal'atath's body was in?
They were from a group called the Deep Watchers and were attempting to harness the power of the Void Stone, eventually becoming a vessel for Xal'atath after being killed in the quest.
The Old Gods, the Void, and a prize to be won
Q: Should we expect Old Gods to return before or after The Last Titan expansion?
It's speculated that old gods could definitely return, with the potential of C'thun and others possibly making appearances that may tie into the narrative and interactions with the Titans.
