The April 1999 massacre at Columbine High School hurtled the United States into an era of mass shootings. Now, a quarter century later, the horrors of that day have become an almost regular facet of American life, and gun violence a record-smashing epidemic. Clad in both camouflage and Kevlar, 21st-century America is a bastion of freedom where workplaces require active shooter protocols, schools r... more

In the 1980s, a pair of intimidating NRA leaders recast the organization in their own imposing images as the group went on an all-out offensive against gun regulations.
The Second Amendment may have begun as a Constitutional afterthought, but a late 20th-century ideological shift caused some to view it as a sacred right in the name of self defense.

UPDATED REVIEW: more
Timely topics w/ depth & historical reference that is lacking in our current news for entertainment landscape. I am truly better informed w/ each episode.
I listened to season 2 before I listened to season one because I was interested in learning the history of the American far right movement. Then I saw season one was about 9/11 and I could not resist listening to that too. Now that a new season about guns and gun rights history is up I’m looking forward to it. Impressive stuff. Thank you
