The Ruby Ridge raid, the Waco siege at the Branch Davidian compound, the Oklahoma City bombing, the Jan. 6 insurrection… they are all explosive moments in recent U.S. history. But connect the dots between these—and other—seemingly disparate, violent events, and you’ll answer some of the most existential questions facing the U.S. today: How did America get the far right so wrong? What will it take now to get it right? more

A VERY well done podcast from the trailer to the last episode. Can’t wait to hear next season.
This is a really well done podcast thus far. Four episodes in, and there’s nothing “new”presented. The skill is in making the connections and presenting objective information in a way that shouldn’t alienate those only tangentially related to the movement. Not presenting the US government as an infallible institution is also an honest approach I’ve appreciated. Balance is hard to achieve in our current times, and I’m curious how/if that can continue in subsequent episodes. more
Very informative, with audio I have never heard before more
Graff excels at synthesizes historical events and illustrating how they linked to future events. His book on 9/11 was riveting and as a bonus has and excellent voice for narration. The first season was a companion to the book. The second season connects the events of Ruby Ridge, Waco, Oklahoma City, the rise of far-Right media, and the Bundy standoff lead to January 6. It also acts a warning to the need to stay vigilant about the dangers that still exist. Highly recommended.
