I have listened to the show on and off when a title interests me throughout this season. I can’t listen to every show because I have a bit of disdain for the way the host does his job. He will often make a very salient point in about a paragraph of speech, and then he will spend a few more minutes reiterating the exact same thing over and over and over again. This Jaden Ivy trade day episode was a must-listen for any Pistons fan. Yet the most important part of the trade news for this host wa... more

I think you guys should talk about thinking for the Pistons to deal with AD. With the possibility to gain Klay Thompson as well. Please talk about this.

  • Ku’s ascending

Much like the Pistons, Ku has grown immensely the last two years. I have long respected his hoops knowledge but Ku’s truly an enjoyable listen every time these days.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Pistons SQUAD SHOW: STILL ALIVE! Detroit Pistons BEAT Orlando Magic In Game 5 To Avoid Elimination
Q: Do you think the Pistons should play Paolo with more aggressive doubles or stick with the current approach?
The hosts suggest a mix: early doubles to disrupt Paolo's rhythm but also staying flexible to avoid easy kick-outs, while emphasizing Durin's rim protection and guard-ability as a stabilizing factor.
Can The Detroit Pistons Turn This Series Around? Are There Adjustments To Be Made? Is Orlando Just Better?
Q: Where should the Pistons start the adjustments to counter Orlando's defense?
They should consider moving away from heavy Duren-Cade pick-and-rolls, increase Ausar Thompson's on-ball versatility, and experiment with Ausar on Paolo or Wendell and use off-ball screens, flare actions, and more screening with Ausar to create downhill options for Cade and Bain while keeping Wendell anchored defensively.
Pistons SQUAD SHOW: Detroit Pistons EARN FIRST Division Title In 18 Years; Closing In On #1 Seed In East
Q: Would you agree with Ku's proposed idea that a top-three pick should not be allowed in back-to-back years?
Lindsey expressed doubt about the feasibility and potential unintended consequences, suggesting that simply banning back-to-back top-three picks could disadvantage teams that legitimately improve and still need high-end talent. The discussion highlighted the tension between competitive balance and rewarding rebuilds.
Pistons SQUAD SHOW: CADE CUNNINGHAM RETURNS As Detroit Pistons TOP Milwaukee Bucks In Home Finale
Q: Lindsey, do you think the Pistons still need any more three-point shooters or is our defense enough for high-scoring teams?
The panelists suggest that while more shooting is always valuable, the Pistons' defensive identity and the structure around Cade's playmaking can compensate, with discussions about the balance between shooting, defense, and ball movement in a playoff context.
Pistons SQUAD SHOW: HUGE Win over LA Lakers, Daniss Jenkins Drops Career-High, What’s Next?
Q: Where do you think Asar's game can go in terms of playmaking and defense, especially after his recent performances?
Lindsey explains that Asar has the potential to be an elite defender with developing playmaking, comparing his ceiling to high-impact players and emphasizing continued work on the jumper and decision-making.
