  • Good stuff

Sold podcast. Good insights plus no cursing which seems to be a prerequisite in most Ranger podcasts.

Becky is the weak link. Hopefully she does a little more preparation instead of winging it. Does not sound too smart when she struggles to complete a sentence or thought. “Whatever” or “I don’t know “ is not a great finish. Confident she will improve

  • Great Rangers pod

Passionate, fan-led hockey analysis that’s also nuanced, intelligent, and doesn’t talk down to the audience is sadly very hard to find. Also, some levity and personality never hurts either. Thankfully, Ranger fans have it with Live From the Blue Seats.

  • Great pod, great folks

This is a great pod, with a professional sheen and excellent analysis, easily accessible to any kind of fan. A real Blue Seat crew that doesn't hold back, but also doesn't just say outrageous things for the sake of it. Highly recommend!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Brady Tkachuk Rangers Rumors
Q: Do you call up San Jose for a trade with the five and nine overall picks and move pieces like Braden Schneider and William Eklund?
Yes, if the board aligns and it benefits both teams strategically, there could be a sense in which swapping picks and exchanging players could unlock a more balanced multi-year plan, though it depends on who's available and how the teams value assets.
Brady Tkachuk Rangers Rumors
Q: Why does Brady Tkachuk's name keep coming up in discussions about the Rangers, given his contract and the team's current needs?
Because fans and media fixate on high-profile stars and the temptation of a dramatic upgrade, even when the team's constraints and the player's situation don't line up, so the discussion persists despite his no-move clause and Ottawa's indications.
Optimism In Rangerstown?
Q: What are the chances that the Boston Mafia running the Rangers use the first pick on the kid from BU, Tyron and Lawrence?
Zero percent in the hosts' view, with a lively discussion about how Lawrence fits into the Rangers' draft picture, including expectations for other players like Reed or Carrolls and possible trades to move up or down.
Play Like A Pro Recap + J.T. Miller Is Hurt
Q: Do you think fighting should be part of the game?
They believe fighting should be allowed as a natural reflex in the heat of the moment, not as a staged activity, and that it serves as a policing mechanism for players who cross lines.
Team USA Men's Win Gold Medal + Rangers Return
Q: Did JT Miller's Olympic layoff affect the Rangers' season down the stretch?
The hosts suggest Miller's Olympic involvement and prior injuries have influenced his performance and leadership, but there is a recognition that the question is complex and tied to team dynamics.
