  • No good

This is a terrible podcast if you wanna listen to it for the Rangers if you wanna listen to someone complain about the Mets is the one for you ! GREG is awful. The only time it’s good is when they have guests on.

  • Real and funny

I’ve been a Blueshirts for 45+ years. My earliest memories are of the Rangers. In all those years this is arguably the best outlet for news, perspective, fan therapy and humor. Love the guys!

  • You broke me…

Well I’ve been listening about six months & first off (sandwich method of feedback) overall I do love the pod despite the miserable Rangers’ state and their prospects going forward (really lack there of!).

I don’t always agree but Greg & Ryan crack me up with your ‘say it as it is’ approach. Probably helps that I’m a Mets fan and originally from Rensselaer Co & now living in the Philly burbs, so there’s a bit of a link with the BB portion of the show.

My gripe, as brutally honest as it is, i... more

  • The Flying V

Big fan of the show. First time long time yada yada. Can we lower the volume of the intro music of Vince’s show. It’s so loud and scares me. Thank you, you 3 guys are great. XOXO LETS GO METS

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Blueshirts Breakaway Episode 559 - Ranking Every NHL Team For Next Season
Q: Are the San Francisco Giants just the New York Rangers?
The hosts joke that the Giants are not the Rangers, using the comparison to illustrate differences between two sports franchises, while acknowledging the complexity of translating success across sports.
The Flying V: EP 37 - Final Destination: Bloodlines with The Athletic's Scott Wheeler
Q: Why is the Rangers' new player development staff significant for the rebuilding process?
The promotions and arrivals—Glass as director and Quick as director of goaltending development—signal a hands-on, alum-involved approach to mentorship and growth, aiming to accelerate development of the promising prospect pool and to avoid past rushing of players.
The Flying V: EP 37 - Final Destination: Bloodlines with The Athletic's Scott Wheeler
Q: What did you think about Alberts Smits being picked at five and how that compares to the other defensemen in the class?
Smits was considered one of the top defensemen, with a strong pro trajectory and more offense than some gave him credit for; he fits the Rangers' need for a high-end blue liner, and despite questions about defense reads, his overall package places him in the top tier alongside Reed and Rudolph.
Blueshirts Breakaway EP 557 - Braden Schneider Contract, Bedard Extension, GOAT Talk & World Cup with Ishaan Tharoor
Q: What did Ishaan think about the World Cup expansion and its implications for the sport globally?
Ishaan provided geopolitical and development insights, including how European systems influence global soccer and what the tournament's expansion says about FIFA and hosting politics, offering a broader context beyond the matches.
Blueshirts Breakaway EP 557 - Braden Schneider Contract, Bedard Extension, GOAT Talk & World Cup with Ishaan Tharoor
Q: What are your thoughts on the Rangers' center depth and a potential top-line configuration?
There is concern about whether JT Miller can be the sole stabilizing force; the panel discusses multiple forward combinations and the risk of overreliance on any one player, emphasizing the need for depth and flexibility in the lineup.
