  • No good

This is a terrible podcast if you wanna listen to it for the Rangers if you wanna listen to someone complain about the Mets is the one for you ! GREG is awful. The only time it’s good is when they have guests on.

  • Real and funny

I’ve been a Blueshirts for 45+ years. My earliest memories are of the Rangers. In all those years this is arguably the best outlet for news, perspective, fan therapy and humor. Love the guys!

  • You broke me…

Well I’ve been listening about six months & first off (sandwich method of feedback) overall I do love the pod despite the miserable Rangers’ state and their prospects going forward (really lack there of!).

I don’t always agree but Greg & Ryan crack me up with your ‘say it as it is’ approach. Probably helps that I’m a Mets fan and originally from Rensselaer Co & now living in the Philly burbs, so there’s a bit of a link with the BB portion of the show.

My gripe, as brutally honest as it is, i... more

Big fan of the show. First time long time yada yada. Can we lower the volume of the intro music of Vince’s show. It’s so loud and scares me. Thank you, you 3 guys are great. XOXO LETS GO METS

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Blueshirts Breakaway EP 547 - Benoit Allaire Retires, NYR Pick 5 and Chatting Trocheck with Ryan Hana
Q: Walk me through what you think Benoit Allaire did last year. What do you think his role was?
The hosts suggest his role was significant but not easily defined, noting he mentored Igor Shesterkin and other goalies, but ultimately imply he wasn't heavily involved in on-ice decision-making and was largely a familiar, high-earning figure within the organization.
The Flying V: EP 28 - The Great Debaters with Blueshirt Banter's Chip23
Q: Do you think Minnesota would regret not paying a high price for Trocheck given their playoff situation?
The hosts debate whether Trocheck would have materially changed Minnesota's playoff odds, suggesting he would help but not necessarily push them past Colorado, and noting the Wild's broader strategic options this summer.
The Flying V: EP 28 - The Great Debaters with Blueshirt Banter's Chip23
Q: If Fox is indeed unhappy here, do you feel he would welcome a trade to San Jose for the second pick and be willing to play on the West Coast on an up-and-coming team?
Chip23 suggests the trade scenario is a fan fiction idea with little known traction; the host notes such moves are unlikely and emphasizes understanding Fox's priorities and the long-term fit rather than a knee-jerk move.
The Flying V: EP 26 - Death of a Salesman
Q: What are your thoughts on Brady Kachuk trade rumors and whether the Rangers would pursue him?
The host acknowledges Kachuk's appeal and the Rangers' past interest, but argues the timetable isn't right to sacrifice top assets and a major draft pick for a single player who may not single-handedly propel a championship run; a hypothetical move would require a careful, multi-piece package and a clear strategic fit.
The Flying V: EP 26 - Death of a Salesman
Q: Is there any chance the Rangers submit an offer sheet for an RFA from a cap strapped team?
The host explains that offer sheets are historically rare, and the Rangers' own cap situation plus the lack of a second-round pick makes high-value offers unlikely this summer; they might consider lower-cost RFAs or focus on trades and shorter-term free-agent deals instead.
