They seem like really nice girls. But I started to get annoyed as in so many of the episodes they can barely remember main plot points of the book they are apparently reviewing. They spend minutes trying to re-remember them together. I just wish they had actually read the books recently.
So wonderful
I find Mel & Sam’s conversations to be both fun and insightful. I like their focus on gender roles and how they truly appreciate intricate world-building and literary craft. Plus, the lighthearted tone makes the podcast reprieve from the anxiety-inducing political podcasts I usually go for.
This pod is so great, it’s an easy and fun listen and a must-subscribe for any romance / fantasy romance fans out there. I love listening to this when I’m forced to do things that aren’t reading, like laundry! The two hosts do a great job recapping a book or series (glass of wine in hand) and finally say the things we’ve all been thinking!
