I am just wondering why the guests are just talking on their own? It is not as good without the banter from the hosts. Why the change of format?

  • Educational and interesting

Love this Podcast. Love all the questions asked and discussion that occurs - often questions that as a listener I am wondering! I learn so much from it and promote it far and wide within the NDIS Provider I work for, educating our Clinicians about language, experience and being person centred. Thank you!

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

ParaMatildas Captain Carly Salmon | Life with Cerebral Palsy
Q: Was there a specific moment when you realized that your disability was unique and something to be proud of?
Carly discovered her competitive nature in athletics when participating in an event alongside other athletes with disabilities, realizing she had found a community that accepted her.
ParaMatildas Captain Carly Salmon | Life with Cerebral Palsy
Q: What was the realization point of when you discovered that you were falling behind physically to your classmates?
Carly noticed this towards the end of primary school, especially when trying to be selected for team sports, as she was often not picked and felt desperate to fit in.
Sara Shams on Disability Advocacy, Representation & the Evolution of Prosthetics
Q: What advice would you give to any person with a disability who wants to get involved in the industry?
Just give it a go. If it's something that you're interested and passionate about, just give it a shot. The worst thing that can happen is you may not get the role, you may not get the contract, but that's okay because you learn from that opportunity.
Sara Shams on Disability Advocacy, Representation & the Evolution of Prosthetics
Q: What is the Shift 20 initiative and how did you get involved?
Shift 20 initiative is shifting that dial to the 20 percent representation of disability in media and not just in front of the camera, but behind the camera as well, where we have brands signing up to do more on screen and have that authentic representation of disability.
Kellie Forrest (Psychologist with Cerebral Palsy ) #129
Q: How do you feel about the NDIS and its support for individuals accessing medical trials?
I absolutely feel they should do more to support individuals accessing medical trials, especially innovative treatments that improve quality of life.
