The bedknobs and broomsticks episode broke me. The host knows nothing about the movie or its history but keeps crapping all over it. I felt so bad for the guest.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Ep. 551 - Suffs (w/ Jenna Bainbridge)
Q: How did you hear about Suffs and get involved?
I learned about Suffs through Equity, auditioning during the pandemic as part of required EPA submissions, and was cast after submitting a video from home; the process was online and ultimately led to a Broadway workshop and production.
Ep. 544 - RENT: Filmed Live on Broadway (2008) (w/ Kevin Ray Johnson)
Q: Why is Gordon on the phone in the Broadway version's support group scene, and was this discussed in your productions?
In my production I don't recall Gordon being on the phone; I saw that moment as a directing choice to convey frustration and escalate the scene, while other productions may use the mic instead to focus the audience's attention and camera angles.
Ep. 512 – High School Musical (2006) (SCT #50) (w/ Danny Quadrino)
Q: Can you explain to the good people why you wanted to talk about this?
I was obsessed with High School Musical when it came out; it had a huge influence on my journey into theater.
Ep. 483 - Agatha All Along: Season 1 (w/ Blanche Daly)
Q: Do you think this series is really about the ending of a toxic relationship that should have ended centuries ago?
Yes, they don't really belong together, though they are fun to watch as a couple.
Ep. 476 - Shall We Dance (1937) (w/ Sierra Rein)
Q: Did you pick this because of the tap dancing skate moment?
I remembered midway when I suddenly saw people roller skating in the distance while they were walking with their sunglasses in Cognito.
