I'm a writer and a film nerd; John Hughes was my favorite film director growing up. I loved this podcast (along with the boxset) that gives us a behind-the-scenes look at how the movies were created and how music played a critical part in Hughes’s process. I wish there were more episodes to talk about his non-teen work.
Love these close studies of my favourite films which have some of my favourite music on their soundtracks. Thank you!
Always loved John Hughes films and his use of music in them. The first podcast on planes was great and can’t wait to hear the others.
An absolute delight. I could listen to Hadley Freeman do this stuff on loop forever.
