Well researched material that comes alive from presenters that makes the subject come alive. Bravo and Godspeed!
As a middle-aged, Canadian woman, I really appreciate both perspectives that Afua and Peter bring to the table. I love history, especially real and accurate history, and I have learned a great deal from the podcast. Many episodes send me on a research journey to learn more about the people, topic or events discussed. Occasionally, the commentary of the hosts will challenge my way of thinking, which I quite enjoy. I like the camaraderie between Peter and Afua and I believe they strike a good bala... more
I used to regularly listen to your episodes but the new approach on the new season I personally find the subjects and themes less interesting. I Still find Afua and Peter great podcasters though!
I absolutely love Peter Frankopan’ books and he’s just as interesting in this format. Afua does waste the series when she veers too much into her opinions, totally wasted the Thatcher and Churchill series, her absolute hate for both of them was tiresome to listen to. Hoover and Ghenkis Khan episodes were excellent.
