I generally enjoy their takes on what is happening in K-pop and their evaluation of the music. However, the bias they hold towards BigBang and Blackpink makes listening to them talk about groups like BTS difficult. They know nothing about BTS but feel like they can comment on them in a disparaging manner and praise the other two groups in excess. So if you can ignore that, it’s a great show. I do not listen to episodes that mention their favourite groups or BTS anymore.
I wonder why they always criticize K-Pop artists for “copying” hip-hop music, but never when it’s about other music genres, like RnB. None of them are native to Korea. They can’t just sing Trot all the time. Inspirations and influences has to come from somewhere.
This is super boring and it’s not the best when you’re going for an informational pod cast. It wasn’t for me.
They often say the necessary things that no one else will say. ALWAYS here for Virginia's takes. Can't wait to read her novel
