Key Life isn’t for everyone. If you want the Bible to be a “book of rules,” if you think there is something unspiritual about laughter and dangerous about freedom and if you define faithfulness as conformity to Christian stereotypes, then Key Life probably isn’t for you. But if you’re interested in an honest, non-manipulative and thoughtful presentation of Biblical truth in the context of Christ’s... more

  • grace & truth

In my community I am so often told that I'm not spiritual enough, that I have to do more to be a super Christian and to serve God. I am SO thankful to the Lord for Key Life ministries, just hearing about how He loves me and is walking beside me helps me to get up everyday and to spend the day with Jesus. I don't think I'll ever be a superChristian, but I want to bless God in the life I have been given.

  • Kintsugi

I love Kintsugi. My favorite picture is one of Jesus using it to put a woman back together. As a woman who at one time had a shattered heart(& who is highly visual), I have always pictured Jesus as having put my heart back together exactly like that. I praise God for providing that healing, Holy Spirit for guiding me to the picture, & Jesus for always being there to keep me going.

  • Authentic & true to God’s Word

I have followed Steve Brown and Key Life for at least 20years. I also have had the opportunity to meet him at speaking engagements.

Years ago I had a tragic incident and reached out to Keylife for prayer.

Imagine my surprise when I received a phone call from Steve Brown himself. He was so down to earth and honest in his encouragement.

I was impressed that he listened to me ( my experience is few in ministry really listen). The blessing of that phone call has remained with me. I have always loo... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Never count a Christian out.
Q: Please explain, what happened to all those people who died before Jesus lived, who died before Jesus took our sins to the cross?
The answer given is that in the Old Testament people were saved looking forward to Jesus, while in the New Testament and today people are saved by looking back to Jesus; the faith of the martyrs from Hebrews is cited as righteousness.
It really happened and it changed everything.
Q: Pete, what text will we read this week?
Pete points to 1 Corinthians 15 and outlines the gospel core: Christ died for sins, was buried, and was raised on the third day, with appearances to key witnesses. He emphasizes that this passage is foundational for understanding the resurrection and its implications for faith.
“What about the Tower of Babel?”
Q: Is my salvation jeopardized if I don't keep every commandment?
Salvation is secured by faith in Christ, and genuine believers will be transformed by grace; continuing in faith does not depend on perfect commandment-keeping, though repentance remains a ongoing practice.
“Do angels have souls?”
Q: Did angels get souls?
Angels are a different kind of creation from humans; they are spirits who serve God, and there is no scriptural provision for their salvation like humans have.
I need you and you need me. Let’s deal with it.
Q: How can I deal with singleness?
The host revises his guidance, affirming that the desire to marry can be God-given, but encourages relinquishing control and trusting God to provide a lifelong relationship if it's His will, rather than clinging to the outcome; the underlying message is to pursue God first and allow Him to shape the timing and nature of relationships.
