    AH - TAH - PEE.

I like how you talk about this book and his teachings in general - he’s my favourite and that’s a useful book.

And I don’t find that vague at all.

Feeing tone is not complicated- it’s going on all the time, we relate from it constantly.

Mindfulness of Dhammas is also very simple - it’s explicitly stated in the sutta.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

March 30, 2026 The Body Mirrors the Mind
Q: I just need you to repeat something. You said everything I'm experiencing is a creation of mine. Is that a fair relaying of what you said or something like that?
Kevin clarifies that it's not simply that everything is created by the mind; rather, experience comes to us through the senses and is interpreted by the mind. He emphasizes that while the mind-senses interaction shapes perception, the goal is to recognize that awareness can observe sensations, thoughts, and emotions without being overwhelmed by them.
March 10, 2026 Rapture in Meditation and Recovery
Q: Can the breath be my higher power?
Yes, the breath is presented as a stabilizing, empowering ally that can function as a higher source of support within practice and recovery.
Understanding Mindfulness
Q: I just found myself wondering if that approach of just being aware is something that one can apply to the reaction to the awful news on the radio, or is that asking too much?
Awareness is a starting point and a continuous practice; it helps us acknowledge our reactive states without being overwhelmed, and then we can choose a wise, rather than automatic, response rather than detaching or denying the world entirely.
2/25/2025 Self-Retreat and the Signless Element
Q: Do Buddhists pray?
Yes, but they do not pray to God; Buddhist prayer takes different forms, such as loving-kindness meditation, which involves wishing for happiness and safety.
Mindfulness and Not-Self
Q: So is using the word transitory? I mean, like trying to identify anything, right?
Everything is impermanent; it's in constant flow and change rather than existing as stable things.
