在水星表面几百公里以下的内核深处也上演着一场肉眼看不见的雪景。因为水星拥有一个占行星半径80%的巨型铁核，这个铁内核不完全是固体，其中有2000公里是固体内核。其他部分都是在以液体的方式进行对流。这个对流的方式也是极其特别的。这个过程很像是地球上的降雪。当然了，水星的这个铁核，它不完全是纯铁，里面含有大量的硫化铁或者是硅化铁体系。硫元素在这场铁晶体降雪的过程中，它扮演着防冻剂的角色，纯铁的熔点是1538℃，但是当合金中掺杂了15%~20%的硫以后，它们凝固的温度就降到了988度。所以正因为硫元素... more
