謝瑞坤醫師常說：「看病不只是看病人的病，更是看病人這個人。」在他看來，癌症治療不只是藥物與手術，更需要心理支持、社會陪伴與生命尊嚴。基於這樣的理念，他推動癌症緩和醫療與全人關懷，並於2010年成立台灣癌症全人關懷基金會。
