  • Rojava - the most important place I’d never heard of?

    The episode on the Women’s Revolution in Rojava is a superb example of an individual podcast doing a job that mainstream media won’t. I was vaguely aware of female units having fought in Kurdistan, but beyond that had no idea of the depth and scope of societal transformation brought about in the region which, despite the inevitable hostility and subsequent retrenchment it has faced, offers a model of how a more socially just community can be enacted in reality, and of how even the most brutal ... more
