  • Informative but host/guests ought to speak louder

Host tends to speak in low tones. Guests tend to move away from the mic. Can they be as clear as Ivy is when introducing the show? Listening at full volume but honestly everyone is whispering. So for now, I give up.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Money, Relationships and the Cost of 'We'
Q: Are prenuptial agreements enforceable in Kenya, and what should they cover?
Prenuptial agreements are enforceable under Section 6 of the Matrimonial Property Act. They should balance rights for both spouses, outline how assets are owned and managed, and avoid unconscionable terms; independent counsel is advised for both parties.
Money, Relationships and the Cost of 'We'
Q: What are the current legal standards for presuming a marriage in Kenya, and how does that affect property rights?
The law requires proof of cohabitation, time together, capacity to marry, and intent to marry, and the burden is on the party alleging marriage. If there is no ceremony or certificate, courts assess whether a de facto marriage existed based on evidence.
Money, Markets, and The Quick Wealth Illusion- Leah Wakarima & Bernard Nyaga
Q: What should a listener with limited disposable income consider before investing?
Start by educating yourself, understand that money market funds are for saving, not investing, and consider starting with small, accessible assets or fractional shares to learn without risking everything. Build a plan that matches your income, risk tolerance, and time horizon before jumping into high-volatility assets.
Money and the Impact of the US-Iran War on Kenya's Economy
Q: What is the Strait of Hormuz and why does it matter for Kenya?
It is a narrow chokepoint through which a large share of global oil passes; disruptions here can raise global oil prices, with direct knock-on effects on Kenya's import costs, inflation, and currency.
Money and the Impact of the US-Iran War on Kenya's Economy
Q: Prince, who are you and why should I listen to what you have to say on the topic today when it comes to the Iran War, the US War and how it affects Kenya?
I am an economist who aggregates local voices through eConsult Africa to build a bottom-up perspective on Africa's economy, blending micro-sentiments with macro indicators to better anticipate how external shocks will impact Kenya.
