水野さんが持ち出したのは「バイキンマンと仲良くしたい」という少し変わった例え話。困りごとを抱えた人や支援が必要な人を社会として受け入れることは大切ですが、その一方で支える側の人たちは本当に尊重されているのでしょうか。

信用金庫の視察旅行で訪れた島根県益田市。
人口減少が進む地域で、企業誘致や補助金、水力発電など、自治体と企業が連携して「仕事を生み出す仕組み」が動いていました。
印象的だったのは、「地元に残りたいのに仕事がないから出ていく」という現実。そして、進出企業で働きながら地元の伝統文化を担う若者の姿。
さらに話は、地方に拠点を持つ意味や、経営者として「仕事をつくる責任」へ。
