Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

NERD! Episode 42: National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (feat. Emy LaCroix Halle)
Q: Has your opinion changed from when you saw it the first time versus now?
It has changed in that I understand more why the parts bother me. I've realized that Clark Griswold's actions are selfish and that he doesn't actually learn the lesson by the end of the movie.
NERD! Episode 42: National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (feat. Emy LaCroix Halle)
Q: Emy, what's your interaction with the movie? Did you see it young or you like me saw it later?
I saw it young. I'm a big Christmas fan. I love Christmas movies, but I cannot get into Christmas Vacation. It just seems like a bummer to me.
NERD! Episode 35: An Airing of Grievances
Q: Dre, what are your thoughts on fan theories regarding movies?
While I dislike fan theories for upcoming films, they can be interesting for older films since the stories are already done.
NERD! Episode 34: Youngblood (1992, Image Comics) with Special Guest Mike Slater
Q: What do you think led to the decline of Youngblood's popularity?
The inconsistent publishing schedule and lack of coherent storytelling as Rob Liefeld attempted to manage too many aspects at once led to declining interest.
NERD! Episode 34: Youngblood (1992, Image Comics) with Special Guest Mike Slater
Q: What initially got you into comics?
Mike shared his experience of getting into comics through Youngblood after previously reading Archie and Mad comics.
