I suppose if there's a museum for foie gras here in France, it stands to reason that there'd be one for Hazelnuts. And there is. And we went there. Also on this week's show there's more on the 2024 Paris Olympics, and the European alcohol consumption... more

Stumbling upon this podcast was like discovering a hidden gem in the depths of my wanderlust. As I found myself daydreaming about a future retirement in the enchanting south of France, Jeff and Julie's show unexpectedly entered my auditory realm, injecting a burst of motivation into my distant dreams. more
The premise seemed really interesting, a North American couple moving to France detailing the experience. But particularly the male host is so over the top melodramatic and full of faux outrage. Yes, I’ve heard the it’s challenging to get through all the bureaucracy to complete a move like this. But I was hoping for a down to earth accounting of the processes and tips for success. Instead it’s morning radio shock jock genre. Too much. I can’t listen to any more episodes. Too bad, the concep... more
Jeff I’m also trying to learn French later in life. It’s much easier to see it on paper than trying to understand machine gun French!
Love this show and really look forward to it each Friday. Jeff & Julie have a comical view of their trials and tribulations of moving to France while the world was under lockdown. With the pandemic over, J&J relive what it’s like adjusting to life in a rural town in south/west France in a very humorous way. They do a wonderful job explaining the scenery and different customs while travelling to numerous beautiful locations throughout France. I had no interest in this region of France before join... more
When you were describing the chateau it took me back to my childhood. Look up, look waaaaaay up and I’ll call Jerome!
