I love your podcast, but I do wish that you would play the song that you are going to be talking about at the start of each episode. As someone who hasn’t had that much exposure to jazz and wants to learn more, it feels a little bit weird to listen to most of the podcast without ever having heard the song before!
Damned cool! Love it!
Over the years Jazz has evolved into a music form that the general public avoids as compared to it's golden years. The Jazz Imposters take a light hearted approach to breating life into this american music form and sparking interest for those who may have missed the genre in it's peak times. So far they have journeyed back into history but perhaps they will also explore contemporary jazz as the alphabet allows. We have enjoyed every episode immensely!
Top notch. I'm an amateur jazz enthusiast and most critiques make me question humanity and Van Gogh-ing my goddamn ears off to avoid PTSD. These guys are concise, unassuming and coincidentally great musicians. Awesome concept and very well executed.
Five stars for the Jazz Imposters who have a true affection for jazz music, breaking it down and trying their damndest to cover some complex music. The guys have great chemistry.
