  • An entire issue devoted to a minor study

What a waste of energy and time. No clinician needs this much information about Finearts. It smells like an Industry sponsored symposium

  • My favorite podcastr

Thank you Dr Fuster for having such an influence in my career . I have followed you since fellowship. You are truly amazing. The times and have reached out to you by email uric acid me immediately. I appreciate all the contributions that you have made cardiology and to me personally to make me a better cardiologist. I always look forward to "the message to take home". Dios lo bendiga maestro.

  • Disappointing

TAVR Unload was underpowered but all objective endpoints were negative. Yet the interviewer focused on a cherry-picked secondary outcome of a subjective outcome of a non- blinded trial. This is very disappointing, but not surprising.

  • Please keep Dr Fuster’s style and format

I have immensely enjoyed his summaries over the years during my commute. It has been a great format which outlines the bullet points to each articles and helps you stay up to date and allows me to make my own critical analysis. I would hate to lose him and his style. There’s no other podcast like this and others I listen to such as Dr Eagle’s, circulation on the run, or this week in cardiology have differing format but none are like Dr Fuster’s. Please please please I implore you not to mess wit... more

Focus on earlier and broader screening, work to close the treatment gaps despite better therapies, and advocate for system-level changes and patient-centered approaches to reduce inequities and improve outcomes immediately.
March 10, 2026: Inside JACC Stats: The State of CV Health in Focus | JACC this Week
Q: What should we be talking about in terms of what the statistics mean for practice and policy?
The key takeaway is to translate data into concrete actions—improving screening and treatment uptake, addressing inequities in access and outcomes, and crafting workflows and community interventions that reach underserved populations to improve cardiovascular health at the population level.
March 10, 2026: Inside JACC Stats: The State of CV Health in Focus | JACC this Week
Q: Now, could you point out some of the stats that stood out to you, anything that surprised you, and what action should be elicited?
Rishi Wadhera highlights reversals in foundational drivers of cardiovascular health, notably hypertension, rising diabetes and obesity, and disparities that are not evenly distributed; he emphasizes actionable steps such as earlier screening, closing treatment gaps, policy and systems changes, and a global expansion of the report to provide a worldwide snapshot.
February 10, 2026: Amyloidosis in Focus: Diagnosis Delays, Early Treatment, and What Clinicians Must Know | JACC This Week
Q: What stood out in the issue about amyloidosis and its diagnosis and treatment?
The Veteran Health Administration study showed shocking delays in diagnosis, with a median near 16 months and some patients waiting over three years; this underlines the need for earlier recognition and labeling, especially among patients with heart failure who have atrial fibrillation or chronic kidney disease. Another paper demonstrated that mortality benefits from amyloid therapies begin to appear within 12–18 months, reinforcing the urgency to diagnose and treat sooner.
