I would heartily recommend this podcast to anyone interested in the practical implications of Christian faith today. I have listened to all the episodes as they have been released. I do not necessarily agree with everything, but that is all to the good. If you are looking for stimulating discussions on all parts of what it is to believe in Jesus this is the podcast for you.

It's Elementary - Episode 3 - "Holiness is Not the Opposite of Fun" with Dr. Jessica LaGrone and Dr. Chris Bounds
Q: How do we walk a middle path between freedom for freedom's sake and a harsh set of rules, so holiness stays on track?
We navigate between extremes by keeping the person in view, relying on the Spirit's work, and grounding our practice in the church's communal formation, which disciplines and heals us toward flourishing rather than dominion or legalism.
It's Elementary - Episode 3 - "Holiness is Not the Opposite of Fun" with Dr. Jessica LaGrone and Dr. Chris Bounds
Q: And first, just tell me, maybe even bringing it to an elementary level, what is holiness? Why does it matter? Is there much of it in the Bible?
Holiness is the love of God in which desire and will align toward union with the beloved; it is not just a moral list but a relational pursuit that furthers the flourishing of the other. This requires recognizing how holiness and love are inseparable and how true holiness seeks the good of the other rather than self-protection or self-interest.
It's Elementary - Episode 10 - “Ministry of Healing” with Dr. Steve Seamands
Q: What is it to understand Christ's healing ministry and participate in it?
Healing ministry is not about shouldering the burden alone; it is about learning to follow Jesus' lead, recognizing that ministry belongs to God, and participating in what He is already doing, which reorients prayer and practice toward God's agenda rather than personal ambition.
It’s Elementary - Episode 11 - “What is Wesleyan Theology” with Dr. Ken Collins
Q: How does Wesleyan theology understand the scope of God's love?
Wesleyan theology affirms that God loves all people because God is love, but salvation requires reception of that grace through faith and a life transformed by the Spirit; universalism is rejected.
It's Elementary - Episode 17 - "The Art and Science of Christian Persuasion" with Dr. Laurynas Jacevičius
Q: How do you understand the task of apologetics?
He views apologetics as an integrated art and science of Christian persuasion that aims to attract attention, engage honestly, and foster meaningful dialogue rather than simply win debates.
