先日Science誌に、Alzheimer病の原因タンパクに迫った2006年のある論文の結果に捏造が見つかったという記事が公開されました。これまでの仮説が覆ってしまうのではと不安に思う声も上がりましたが、科学の構造の強さを考える良いきっかけとも感じました。 more
実用性を考慮すると、現状ではブロックチェーンに書き込めるデータ量にはかなりの制限がありますが、ヒトの遺伝情報などの大きなデータが書き込めるようになるとより可能性が広がります。今回はその一歩となるかもしれない論文を紹介しました。 more
生体インピーダンスを用いた血圧測定手法で、手首の動脈から血圧を測れるようになったという論文を紹介しました。現在一般的に普及している、カフを膨らませて測る方法以外にも様々な方法が考え出されていますが、この論文に紹介されている手法を用いると、かなり正確に血圧が測れるようになる印象を受けました。 more
メタアナリシスやシステマティックレビューを行う際に、『網羅的に取得された大量の論文を精査し、提起された疑問に答えうる論文かを選別する』という段階があります。今までは人の手で一つ一つ行われていたのですが、これを自動で選別する自然言語処理AIを開発した、という論文が発表されていました。将来的には比較的少ない労力でメタアナリシスを行うことが出来るようになるのではないかと思い、今後のweb3プロジェクトの方向性とともに紹介しました。 more
脳に薬を届けやすくする技術として注目されている集束超音波療法。超音波のエネルギーを用いて血液脳関門を一時的に開くことで薬の透過性をよくする試みです。実際の治療効果については臨床研究が進んでいる最中で、今後の発表に注目しています。 more
仮想通貨やNFT、DAOといった言葉に代表されるブロックチェーン技術に支えられるweb3という概念が、今年に入って取り沙汰されています。色々な活用方法が見出されており、医療情報発信もブロックチェーン技術を応用することで、新たな角度からアプローチできるのではないかと考えました。具体的なプロジェクトとして、進めていこうと計画しています。 more
