Shane Douglas Keene and Rich Duncan talk about a variety of subjects related to the horror and crime genres. We also talk to authors and other guests about different topics including books, diversity, and the craft of creating high-quality dark speculative fiction. We're also a bunch of irreverent smartasses.

When one describes Nick Mamatas as "inimitable," it's because there's no other polite way to describe him. He's brilliant, irreverent, has no fucks to give about what you think of him, but all you'll think about him if you read him and listen to him,... more
Rich and Shane in conversation with the brilliant, wonderful, zany, mega-creative poet/artist/author Jessica McHugh.
In this episode, I'm talking one on one with a favorite author of mine, Michael Wehunt, who also happens to have penned one of my favorite books of 2025, The October Film Haunt. Tune in to hear us talk about that and a whole lot more.
Fantastic podcast with great hosts and brilliant guests. Love the dynamics. If you enjoy horror, dark fiction, crime etc you need to listen to this. Absolutely the best at what they do.
Consistently one of the best podcasts for readers and writers of everything dark and twisted. Shane Keene, Rich Duncan, and Laurel Hightower bring out the best in their guests and manage to have a lot of fun in the process. Every episode is like sitting down with old friends to catch up. That's a blessing in these times. Highly recommended!
Only a couple episodes in but I can already tell this is my new favorite horror cast. The interviews are so great, such funny and genuine and intelligent hosts!
I love the discussions with authors and they always seem to be having a great time. It comes across while listening and makes the episode even more enjoyable.
Quite simply put, if you like horror, learning of new authors, and books, then THIS podcast should be in your regular rotation. Shane and Rich host, in my opinion, the greatest horror podcast you can stumble upon. But don't take it from me. Give it a listen and spread the word to all your fellow Horror Community brothers and sisters!
