Gleaned a lot from the companion podcasts to the episodes and I understand why themes were explored they way they were in the podcast. I just wish the podcasts were a bit longer and I would’ve enjoyed soapier, messy, maybe even speculative, discussions on the show. (Who fathered Brooke’s kid, for example). Great work. I hope there are more episodes/podcasts for us on the horizon. And I need to know where Brookes furniture and wardrobe came from. Debit? please.

Not so much. I love the show. When I watch, my attention is not concentrated on one patient, as it seems to be by the hosts of this podcast, however. I would have less of a negative opinion if Laila’s entire personality had been addressed and not just how hard she’s had it in her life (eye roll). The fact that the girl has been given more than most people will earn in their entire lives should be part of the conversation. I am a therapist and woman of color, and I have never felt such an accurate representation of my life experience before this show and podcast.
