  • Valuable insights for everyone, not just event planners!

You may see the title of this podcast and think “well that’s pretty niche, I’m not a corporate event planner so this isn’t for me” and while it is targeted towards the audience, events are so dynamic that really anyone in a corporate environment can benefit from a listen.

The creativity and problem solving required to be an event planner really shines through in this podcast and Brandon is a great facilitator/moderator/interviewer.

    Highly recommend!!

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

DMA Events On AI-Powered Trade Show Activations
Q: Where do you see events going in 2027 with AR, robotics, and AI?
AR glasses could allow attendees to interact with booths and retrieve information without approaching, while robots and AI agents will handle engagement at scale. The future involves integrated tech ecosystems where experiences bridge pre-, during-, and post-event storytelling, turning activations into ongoing brand narratives.
DMA Events On AI-Powered Trade Show Activations
Q: How do you balance AI and human creativity in activations, especially for photographers transitioning into AI-enabled workflows?
AI complements traditional photography by enabling rich, themed environments and scalable outputs without sacrificing image quality. The key is prompting mastery, using AI to enhance, not replace, human direction, and offering tangible, branded outputs that attendees can share immediately.
DMA Events On AI-Powered Trade Show Activations
Q: From your perspective, what's working now in the trade show activation space and what isn't?
Experiential activations that are highly personalized and draw people into a story—like AI-enhanced photo booths, personalized trading cards, and branded, immersive scenes—are working best. Pitfalls include poor staffing, weak branding, and lack of a clear user journey; these lead to crickets at booths.
How Talking Purpose Turns E-Commerce Events Into Sales Funnels
Q: Where can listeners find more about you and your work?
Listeners can learn more at talkingpurpose.ca and connect with Katie Kung on LinkedIn under Katie Booth B. Kung to continue the conversation.
How Talking Purpose Turns E-Commerce Events Into Sales Funnels
Q: If you had to describe the biggest leaks in e-commerce funnels after an event, what would they be and how can founders fix them quickly?
The biggest leaks are poor follow-up and a weak online destination. You must identify attendees, follow up with gratitude, and extend the event value through social posts and easy navigation to the product page—creating a seamless path from the live experience to online conversion.
