Improvised Star Trek

Improvised Star Trek

Improvised Star Trek explores the final frontier of comedy by turning Star Trek into an improv office comedy. Taking suggestions submitted on Twitter and Facebook, the cast (featuring some of Chicago’s top improvisors) creates a fully improvised episode detailing the adventures of the USS Sisyphus, a less enterprising starship. New episodes are posted every other week. To learn more about the show... more

Whereas I used to have a Simpsons quote for every situation, I now have an Improvised Star Trek quote for every situation. Have listened to the entire run many times in the last few years, and episodes like Table For One and Pirates of the Cosmos still make me laugh til I cry. Thank you IST!

  • If I may… this show is canon.

And, if I may, the Star Trek universe is better for it.

  • I'm not really a star trek fan but I've found plenty to admire about its optimism and intentions. There are a few episodes I was made to watch and enjoyed but I don't go out of my way.

This is different. This show lives in my heart. I've listened the whole way through twice and I'm certain I'll do another run in a year or two. Wonderfully funny and smart.

  • Amazing (whenever you listen)

I’m not really into Star Trek, know of it but haven’t watched (but now that’s changed!) coming to this show late (unfortunately) but it’s quickly become one of my favourite podcasts. I’m glad I get to enjoy some of the cast in other shows but the magic this has is unique!

Just finished my 3rd listen through. Now I think I’ll relisten to my favourite ones.

Thank you everyone who was involved in this show. You’ve made my life much easier to tolerate 🖖
