Solid, pragmatic pricing advice in every installment. Mark’s a comfortable and poignant interviewer able to go deep.
Host clearly doesn’t know as much as his guests. It’s hard to understand why anyone sits through this. He’s constantly patronizing guests, rewording their answers, and generally trying to correct them to make himself seem smarter. It’s not working. His “big” ideas? 1) Good, better, best works for everything and 2) cost-based pricing is bad. Avoid.
Impact Pricing is an interesting podcast that broadly illustrates the roles of pricing experts in companies and as consultants. It’s fascinating to hear in the interviews how these experts enjoy their work and to witness the overall high level of expertise among the interviewees. For example, the episode where David Brown discusses his book is particularly unique and insightful. Pricing is both an art and a science.

This podcast has helped guide me in transforming our accounting and tax firm over the last year. I cherish the professional encouragement I receive in this corner of podcasting.
