Just listened with horror to Kemi Badenoch. It would be funny if she wasn’t potentially our next Prime Minister. I’ve rarely heard anyone with so much self confidence and so little ability to follow her own arguments. “Inarticulate”
doesn’t get anywhere near. A better master class in question begging - in the proper logical sense - would be almost impossible to devise. And who was providing the applause? Thank you IFG. The entire episode (some hope) should be compulsory listening.
I have been listening to you for a while. I just went back to listen to the earlier episode on the Internal Market Bill. This is what an engaged citizen wants, in my view. Less on controversy, more on actual content of the proposed bill, the motivation of the legislator, and how various key stakeholderes will view it. An rich, but easy listening discussion, nonetheless.
Lost my patience and temper with this. Some guests are unbelievably snooty, especially from the food and drink association who seem to have their collective heads in the sand. The sheer arrogance and exceptionalism just gets on my nerves now. Had enough!

A policy-focused series that centers on how government functions can be improved, with emphasis on the centre of government, civil service leadership, public service productivity, and major reform agendas. Discussions typically feature senior Think Tank/Institute voices, civil servants, and policy experts analyzing how to accelerate reform, improve service delivery, and navigate political and institutional constraints. Episodes often compare national and regional governance, explore data-driven decision making, and weigh trade-offs in areas like devolution, digital transformation, and large-scale public sector change. Noteworthy quirks include a practical, implementation-oriented lens and a steady focus on governance structure, leadership, ... more
