I gave it a solid three episodes and I hate it. First of all, Jenna hates Victor. We’re told they’re dating, and that they seem happy but at no point do they remotely like each other. Neither Jenna nor Elise is even the least bit likable- esp Elise. This is the type of media that I think feminists are supposed to like because it uses all the right buzzwords, but lacks any remotely good story
I can’t understand the low ratings… this story is fun, mysterious, hilarious and sexy!! The characters are relatable but also funny and flawed. I loved the acting as well. 10/10 would go for a second season to enjoy more of this magical world! Give it a listen! I binged it in two days 😅
Any complaints about the involvement of race in the story is just someone who doesn’t have to think about their race in daily interactions or how white saviors really are. I loved the story
I was excited about this story ! It seemed like such an interesting idea , but my goodness there’s so much race involvement and acknowledging race it’s as if the characters can’t think of anything else . It’s just weird and takes me out of the story way too much . I tried but after the third episode , it seemed ridiculous also the main character is incredibly insufferable the only trouble is I can’t tell if that’s on purpose or not .
