Longtime friends Maggie and V met twelve years ago through a mutual fandom -- and they haven't agreed on much since, except for their love of loving things, writing fanfiction, and each other. Join them as they chat about their passions (and gentle ribbing of the other's passions) and discuss the ins and outs of fandom's past, present, and future, from LiveJournal to Tumblr, AO3, and beyond.

The content of this is ok, but the terrible sound quality makes this a miss for me. I’ve gotten a better recording off a zoom call. As someone who does this for a living, my best advice would be to get a real editor and some decent equipment if you’re trying to make a go with this. Especially since people appear to paying you to support this.
Really enjoy this podcast, I’ve learnt a lot from it and I’ve found it to be really fun as well :)
Despite the fact that I don’t share any major fandoms with the hosts (at least not that have been mentioned yet) I’ve been at least in the outer edges on some and they are so good at describing all of the happenings and feels that encompass any fandom. I look forward to this bing posted every week so I can get a hit of nostalgia and also get myself excited thinking about my current fandoms. Thanks ladies!
the perfect combination of witty, smart, and fannish! i always end up both laughing and genuinely touched by the end of each episode — it’s just so enjoyable to hear v and maggie talk about how much they love the things they love. this podcast has quickly become one of my all-time favorites, and given me a renewed appreciation for my own fandom friends and experiences!
If you like podcasts in the genre of "adult women who are best friends having a conversation that makes you feel like you're their other best friend," this pod is for you.
I’ve been reading and writing fan fiction since I was in my pre-teens, and I’ve never found such an articulate, funny and credible discussion of fandom and why it matters. Maggie and V take fandom seriously but don’t take themselves too seriously, which makes I Met You On LJ such a fun listen. It feels like I’m hanging out with my friends and talking about Supernatural! This podcast will make you a smarter fan and pop culture consumer.
As someone who keeps her fandom life 100% separate from the rest of her life, there is something absolutely SO fun and refreshing to be able to have these discussions on fandom and shipping and even fair-use copyright law in a medium that is far removed from fan creators (seriously, don’t send actors your smut fic about characters they play. It’s just rude). Maggie and V are such delightful hosts and it’s so much fun to hear people geeking out about things that you also geek out about.
A nice (or at times, not so nice) trip down memory lane for fandoms I’ve been in. It’s really interesting to hear these two talk about their experiences with and unique points of view on fandom communities and their cultures. Great job!
A great peak into the world of fandom from two people who love what they love and are a pleasure to listen to!
I love hearing about people who love reading and writing and who can agree to disagree in healthy ways!
