  • Love the podcast

I just finished listening to the steering systems podcast. Was looking forward to hear Mike talk about steering boxes as my track car is a mid 90’s merc with a steering box. Unfortunately you didn’t get enough time to talk about it :(

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

EP.73 GLTC Hero Eric Kutil
Q: What inspired you to build your own Civic?
I've always loved the golden era Hondas and wanted to create a Civic inspired by the JTCC race cars.
EP.72 Aerodynamic Engineer Paul Lucas
Q: What is your experience with consumer interest in aerodynamics?
Most people don't care about the detailed information provided.
EP.72 Aerodynamic Engineer Paul Lucas
Q: What keeps you doing what you do?
I like it. I find it very interesting.
EP.54 Nerd Talk About Steering Systems
Q: What's a general rule of thumb that you're looking for pressure-wise with power steering?
If you're at 1300 PSI, you don't really want to go above 1450 because the seals won't survive very long, especially in a racing situation.
EP.54 Nerd Talk About Steering Systems
Q: Is there something you could plug in? Can you plug into the ECU and then just tune away the way my electric steering is set up?
No, the steering system ECU is very different from other ECUs, and aftermarket electric power steering systems are extremely limited on the market.
