  • Brendan Shaub is a liar

Spotify’s stock price has decreased by 34% since they acquired the Joe Rogan podcast not increased as Brendan claims. Also his lawsuit against that YouTuber is for copyright infringement not defamation. Any podcast that unironically has that guy on as a guest is questionable

  • A Funny Generous Comic

It’s all good but what I like most about Joel’s Hot Breath! Podcast is that he’s generous with information and seems to really want other people to succeed. That’s the way it should be. Super interesting, fun, and full of info.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Episode #3 - Drew Thomas
Q: How do you view social media and online platforms in relation to traditional stage time?
It's essential to engage online, but you still need on-stage time; audiences and bookers increasingly value followings alongside live performance.
Episode #3 - Drew Thomas
Q: Was there more to that bit you edited out for Time on TV?
No, the essence of the bit remains; additional material might exist in club acts, but the TV version captured the core idea.
Episode #3 - Drew Thomas
Q: Did you see a clear jolt in your career after your first Last Comic Standing appearance?
Yes—after 2008 I shot a PBS pilot (unreleased) and did the Boston Comedy Festival, which helped boost bookings and visibility.
Episode #3 - Drew Thomas
Q: Does management play it all into the Last Comic Standing process? Does that give you an edge?
Not necessarily; some have agents and connections, but many contestants were simply seen in clubs without formal management advantages.
Episode #3 - Drew Thomas
Q: How does your preparation for this season compare to when you did it back in 2008?
This time I sat down and constructed a three- to four-minute set specifically for the competition, unlike the earlier approach which was less structured.
