It was a long time fan of these books, it’s nice to hear somebody discussing them. I can’t fault the hosts for sticking to what they know but I’d like to see this series examined from some other lenses than just military and political history. I also find their repeated emphasis that Weber isn’t being political to be childish. To pretend that Weber authorial perspective is not at all influenced by his political views is simply silly. I’ve been a massive honorverse fan since I read the first book in April 2021 but I feel like there isn’t a huge fan presence online. This is exactly the kind of in depth conversation about the books I’ve been wanting to have/listen to. I just started the Saganami Island series but I might have to reread the mainline novels after I finish.

It’s very exciting to hear your first impressions as you go along and and to hear Raul’s barely restrained love for the series. Great audio quality and show format as well!
